Choosing the wrong plastic pallet for your warehouse operation is a costly mistake — wrong load rating causes failures, wrong size creates racking incompatibility, wrong deck type causes hygiene audit failures. This guide walks you through every decision point so you buy right the first time.

Step 1: Know Your Load Requirements

Every plastic pallet has three load ratings you need to match to your operation:

Dynamic Load	Maximum weight when pallet is being moved by forklift or pallet jack	1,000 – 1,500 kg

The racking load is usually the most restrictive. Always specify your racking load requirement first — it is the hardest to satisfy and will narrow your pallet options most significantly. If your pallets are floor-stacked only, static load is your primary specification.

Step 2: Choose the Right Pallet Size

UAE and GCC warehouses primarily use two pallet sizes:

• Standard (1200 × 1000mm) — the dominant size for UAE and GCC warehouse operations. Compatible with most UAE racking systems, forklifts and pallet jacks. NexGen models: ST-08, ST-10, ST-18, ST-21, ST-23.
• Euro (1200 × 800mm) — used by businesses with EU supply chains or European-origin racking systems. NexGen model: ST-09 Euro Pallet.

The deck type — the top surface of the pallet — matters significantly for hygiene and product type:

• Open deck: Has gaps or perforations across the top surface. Lighter weight, better airflow for some products, lower cost. Suitable for general warehousing, manufacturing, distribution.
